Family Photos at Weddings

by admin

At weddings, the Bride and Groom are MOST important – no doubt! But it’s important to also capture some of the family shots, whether they be posed or spontaneous.  When we meet with our brides before the wedding day, we take detailed notes about ALL the important family members that the bride and groom want to make sure we photograph. There’s nothing worse than looking back at your beautiful album, years later, and remembering how you didn’t get a photo of you and your grandmother, or you and your favorite cousin…And it’s fun, when possible, to get the whole family in one photo.

Family Photos

by admin

Tis’ that time of year again, when families are SCRAMBLING to get a family portrait taken, in time to give beautiful prints to their family as Christmas and Holiday gifts.  And here we are in November, with just a few weeks left! If you haven’t started this process, don’t panic. You can always do this as a New Year’s portrait, and schedule one for each January.  This morning I did my 4th Family session with Christy, Luis & their 3 boys! And at the end of the morning, Mom & Dad were at each other’s throats…LITERALLY!!! Just for fun, I kept shooting while they horsed around.

Road trip in Photos

by admin

Two weeks ago, two of my daughters and another adopted daughter, set out on a roadtrip to move one of my girls to California. What a BLAST! We sang and laughed and were silly and truly bonded! I did all the driving (approximately 53 hours spread out over 5 days!). Along the way, I was able to stop and take a few photos. In Baton Rouge, we got to see some of LSU’s beautiful campus, then stopping at a dear friend’s home in the Ft.Worth area, we took family photos of her growing family. The scenery changed nicely as we crossed the Texas border into New Mexico, and the weather cooled rapidly as well. We actually experienced snow flurries just outside Albuquerque, on our way to the Grand Canyon.  I have precious memories that I will treasure always from this trip.  Here are just a couple of photos.
